- Use at Your Own Risk: StarMatch is provided "as is" without warranties. You use this service entirely at your own risk.
- No Liability for User Actions: StarMatch is NOT responsible for any user actions, behaviors, communications, or conduct including fraud, harassment, abuse, threats, financial losses, emotional distress, physical harm, criminal activity, scams, catfishing, identity theft, or any in-person meetings.
- Personal Safety: YOU are solely responsible for your personal safety. Never share personal information with strangers. Meet in public places. Inform friends/family of plans.
- ID Verification Limits: ID checks may route accounts, lock birth dates, and help compare profile photos, but StarMatch does NOT conduct background checks, criminal history screenings, or guarantee profile accuracy.
- Age Requirement: Adult dating accounts must be 18+. School-ID youth accounts, if enabled, are restricted to the protected youth side and cannot access adult dating sections.
- User Content: All content is user-generated. StarMatch is not responsible for content accuracy, legality, or appropriateness.
- No Guarantees: We make NO guarantees about finding matches, relationship success, user availability, or continued service availability.
- Limitation of Liability: StarMatch shall NOT be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages including personal injury, emotional distress, financial losses, property damage, or loss of data.
- Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StarMatch from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the service.
- Privacy & Data: While we take reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Data breaches may occur.
- Service Modifications: We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice or liability.
- Dispute Resolution: Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits.

Account Access
ID routing is completed during signup before email/password creation. This screen only shows the side your verified account can open.
Kids safe side
School-ID accounts come from the secure youth handoff. Minors get a protected youth platform with profiles, activities, approved friends, supervised live, and safe communication.
Secure signup step
Verification Result Only
Driver's license, state ID, and school ID checks happen before account creation on a separate secure handoff page. StarMatch receives only the result needed to route the account.
Adult driver / state ID
Government ID, selfie match, locked birth date, and age verification should be handled by the secure provider.
Youth school ID
School ID review, guardian or school policy checks, and strict under-18 routing should be handled by the secure provider.
Production setup: create the verification session on a backend, redirect users to the hosted provider, then return only pass/fail, verified birth date, and account mode to StarMatch.
Age rule: School-ID accounts must be under 18. When the ID birth date reaches 18, the youth account is moved out of the kids side and must re-verify for adult access.
Visibility rule: Adult accounts cannot open the youth hub, and youth accounts cannot open adult dating sections.
Deployment rule: Real ID validation needs a secure backend, hosted provider redirect, encrypted private storage where required, guardian/school policy checks, and abuse reporting.

Youth profile
Set a display name, simple belief choice, grade range, and favorite activities.
Activities
Choose sports, outdoors, music, art, gaming, school clubs, and custom interests.
Approved friends
Find similar youth profiles only inside approved, moderated school-ID spaces.
Report a problem
Report unsafe behavior to the manager or trusted adult review queue.
Approved communication
Message, call, or video chat only with approved youth contacts or moderated group spaces.
Supervised live
Live rooms are moderated, reportable, and blocked from adults and public discovery.
Adult content locked
Adult profiles, premium dating boosts, public discovery, and adult-to-youth messaging are unavailable here.
Share StarMatch
Youth users can share the same StarMatch link. Account setup decides adult side or youth side.
Protected rules
No adult profile discovery, no public kid profiles, no adult-to-kid messaging, and no public stranger video. Youth communication is limited to approved contacts, moderation, and reporting.

Identity Verification
Only the manager or connected ID provider should approve locked identity details.
Age, Western zodiac, and Chinese zodiac are recalculated from this locked value.
Photos must be close enough to the ID image, with reasonable allowance for lighting, camera angle, hairstyle, and that a camera can add 10 pounds.
Secure deployment rule: ID files should be encrypted, private, access-logged, and removed when no longer needed.
Photo rule: Do not allow a profile photo that is clearly a different person or completely unrelated to the verified ID photo.
Birth date rule: Do not let users type their own age, birth date, or zodiac after ID verification.
School ID rule: School-ID users under 18 can only enter the kids safe side. Adults and users who age into adulthood cannot access the youth side.
Youth lock rule: Kids accounts cannot use matches, likes, live, premium, public dating profiles, or adult messaging.
